K9 Walk for Life..

(as told by Lara, first born golden retriever and Ruler of the Roost)

Something was up..

I felt it in my bones... and on Sunday Morning I knew my feeling was right..

WE ARE GOING WALKING!!!!

Its going to be a Great Day!!

The sad part of this great day was the fact that we were reminded that not all 4-legged colleagues are as privileged as we are…

..that’s what makes SPCA so great - they take care of homeless animals which were abandoned by their previous owners and are urgently looking for new homes for them…

On the way to the Meeting Point
We met some of these not so fortunate dogs on Sunday – at the K9 Walk for Life – event organized by the SPCA.. A 5km Walk with Dogs and Animal Lovers to raise funds and awareness..

Arriving at the meeting place we were greeted by so many other dogs and their owners.. all the shapes and sizes you can think of.. Big ones, Small ones, pretty ones, shy ones, dirty ones, groomed ones..

the funny thing is: most owners look like their dogs..
Ha Ha Ha..SO ENTERTAINING

with Hasso & Gaby

walking like well trained dogs on the leash!

We also met our new friend Higor the English Bull Dog, we have heard so much about.. What a character of a dog and in great(!) condition, defined muscles, shiny coat..

If I was a bulldog I’d definitely fall in Love..

We walked the walk together.. ;-)

Walking the Walk

Higor had his very own poster!!

Higor

Gaby & Gielie bought us a pink bandana with printed paws on (all for the good cause)and tied them around our neck (stylish ekse) and once completing the 5km walk we each got a medal to remind us of this fun filled day..
Tired after walking, but sooo happy!!
Our Medal

It was great being part of this and we truly wish our doggie friends at SPCA new and loving homes..

Then Later:
Nothing beats chilling on the couch  after such an exiting and exhausting day…

Thank you SPCA you are a GREAT Organization and a MUST SUPPORT!!
